Cameron currently works at the Department of Finance with the Whole of Australian Government Procurement, responsible for renewing arrangements for key services to the Australian Government.
He has worked on the procurements for: travel management services, domestic and international airlines, domestic and international accommodation, advertising, Enterprise Resource Planning systems and rental car services. Each of these arrangements have provided significant savings and efficiencies to the Australian Government and participating agencies.
Cameron joined the public service from the private sector to contract manage the first WoAG airline arrangement, encompassing 13 domestic and international Airlines.
Prior to this, he worked in the corporate travel industry for almost 15 years, including with QBT and FCm Travel Solutions, in sales and account management. In his time at FCm, Cameron was the national Team Leader for Account Management in Australia, and was transferred to the UK to set up and manage the Account Management function.
In his spare time, Cameron acts as a personal Uber driver for his son, and is a keen AFL, soccer and cricket fan.
